Please note: Before travelling any significant distance to do one of these Year Round and Seasonal walks, walkers should always contact the 'Contact Person' or club shown with each walk. If either of these are unavailable, please contact the appropriate Regional Director or the CVF office at cvffcv@bellnet.ca The CVF makes every effort to keep this information up to date, but changes do occur from time to time that may inconvenience walkers who travel.

From the highway follow Banff Ave. to centre of  town and turn right just before the bridge crossing the Bow River. Parking available on street or across in Municipal parking lot. Ask for the walk box.

07:00 - 18:00 daily

Choice of trails.  Banff Town Stroll, Sundance Canyon, Vermillion Lakes or Sulphur Mt. Challenge.  Enjoy the scenic walk through Canada’s oldest National Park and town. Routes range from stroller friendly to challenging. You have to drive to start point after registration for some routes. Banff Town Stroll is part of the Cenotaph Program

Barrmart Foods, 5108 55 St., 5 blocks west of the lights

Approach on Highway 33 North.  At first set of lights, turn west approx. 4 blocks to Barrmart on right.  Ask for walk box.

Dawn to dusk.

The trail goes around the outskirts of the Town of Barrhead on paved & gravel roads.

Shell Gas Station, 6500 - 50th St

From Edmonton - 50th St.:  Continue South on 50th St./ Hwy 814 until you reach Beaumont. The highway becomes 50th St. in town. The Shell station is on your right as you enter town. From the QE2: Exit to Hwy 625 East to Beaumont. Turn left at 50th Street and drive most of the way through town. The Shell will be on your left.

Dawn to dusk daily.

The trail winds through the streets and multi-use trail of Beaumont. It passes one of the oldest churches in the area and goes around Don Sparro Lake.

All trails are paved.

From Deerfoot Trail [Hwy 2] take Memorial Drive exit onto Memorial Drive West. Follow to Edmonton Trail and turn left, crossing Bow River, Turn left on MacLeod Trail. Watch for Talisman Centre signs on right. Park at the North end of the parking lot, take pathway going  LEFT around building to SECOND entrance (# 2010 above the door). Inside, the service desk will be right in front of you. Please ask for the walk box there.

Weekdays: 05:00 - 23:00; Sat: 06:00 - 22:00; Sun & holidays: 07:00 - 22:00

The trail follows sidewalks and pathways through residential areas and city parks along the Elbow River. Suitable for strollers. Ask for walk box [Volksmarch Box] at the Registration Desk. Ample free parking available.

Take Deerfoot Trail (Hwy #2) to Memorial Drive West and follow to Edmonton Trail, across the bridge to 4th Avenue South.  Follow 4th Avenue to 4th St., SW. Turn Right (North) and follow to the back of Eau Claire YMCA, located at 101-3rd St., SW.

Ample PAY parking in area.  Ask for walk box at Entry Desk.

Weekdays: 05:30 - 22:30; Weekends & holidays: 07:00 - 19:00

Choice of two trails.  Stroll along the Bow River or choose the Urban  trail which takes you through downtown Calgary. Enjoy beautiful scenic views of downtown Calgary and the Bow River from Crescent Heights. Both trails are suitable for strollers.

Going west on Trans Canada Hwy #1 take second Canmore exit into Canmore. At corner of Railway Ave. and 8th St.  (Main Street), turn left.  Go across bridge. Grizzly Paw Pub is located on your right (across from a white church). Free parking available on street.  Ask the bartender for the walk box which is behind the counter under stairs.

The trail takes you through the quaint Canmore downtown as well as the picturesque and peaceful Canmore pathway system. Trail is suitable for strollers.

Trail features several of Cardston’s main points of interest as well as taking you for a walk down Main Street.  You’ll get a great view of Chief Mountain. Trail takes you alongside Lee Creek on a paved path.

From the North or East follow Hwy 2 into Cardston, it becomes Main St., to the south end of town.

From the South follow Hwy 2 into Cardston.

From the West follow Hwy 5 to the junction with Hwy #2, turn right (South) to follow Main Street to the museum.

Registration: 10:00 - 17:00   Walk daylight hours only. Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Christams Eve, Christmas. Ask for the Walk Box. Parking available.

Loop one is a walk in the couhntryside. Loop two is a walk in a residential area.

Remain on Hwy 28, the Inn is on your left as you drive towards the lake, just before the Marina.  Registration is at the Inn but walk is in Cold Lake Provincial Park. You will receive directions to the start of the walk after registering for the walk.  Free parking available.

Walk goes through the park following trails through the park and campsites. The park is host to a wide variety of species of birds and wildlife.

Mainly on black-topped paths and trails through scenic river valley.
