Please note: Before travelling any significant distance to do one of these Year Round and Seasonal walks, walkers should always contact the 'Contact Person' or club shown with each walk. If either of these are unavailable, please contact the appropriate Regional Director or the CVF office at cvffcv@bellnet.ca The CVF makes every effort to keep this information up to date, but changes do occur from time to time that may inconvenience walkers who travel.

Kinsmen Sports Centre, 9100 Waterdale Hill

Take the Waterdale Hill Rd down into the river valley, and at the bottom of the hill turn left into the Kinsman Centre. Ample parking and some food services. From Queen Elizabeth Park Rd. continue into the river valley and at the bottom of the hill continue straight ahead into the Centre.

Dawn to dusk daily.

The walk takes you through the downtown, past the Legislature and into the river valley.

Trail goes along paved city streets through pleasant residential areas. The summer route passes through a spectacular ravine area.

Sobey’s Grocery Store, 137 Ave. & Victoria Trail

[East]From Hwy 16 (Yellowhead) go north on Victoria Trail to the corner of 137th Avenue. The shopping centre is on the SW corner of the intersection. Box is located at Customer Service. [West] From the west side of Edmonton go to 137th Ave and proceed East to Victoria Trail (about 29th St). Sobey’s will be on your right. Box is located at Customer Service.

Hermitage Park is part of  Edmonton’s extensive park system. The walk travels along residential streets and into the valley park system. The trails are paved as well as gravel. The walk passes through an ‘off leash’ area for pets.

Castle Downs YMCA, 11510 - 153 Avenue

From Edmonton: Take the Yellowhead Trail, at 127th  Street turn North to 153rd Ave. Turn East on 153. The Y is at the corner of 153rd Ave. and Castle Downs Rd. From St. Albert: Take 127th St. South to 153rd Ave. Go East to the corner of 153rd Ave and Castle Downs Rd.

Dawn to dusk daily.

The trail goes around Beaumaris Lake and through the neighbouring residential area.

From Edmonton take 111th Street south until you pass 23rd Ave. The YMCA will be on your left.

From the Anthony Henday take the 111th street exit. Proceed north until you reach the YMCA, on your right

Dawn to dusk daily.

The trail winds through the Black Mud Creek and the Twin Brooks subdivision. The path is mostly paved with some shale surfaced areas.

Pets must be leashed and picked up after. Suitable for strollers. Sidewalks and paved trails. Introduction to residential area.

The start point is on Hwy # 40. From Hwy # 43 in Grand Prairie turn south onto Hwy #40 to Grande Cache.

Walk takes you around the town on sidewalks and paved trails of park area.
