Historic downtown, waterfront, waterfront parks and trails.

From the south (Penticton), turn left on Abbott St. at the first lights after crossing the floating bridge. From the north (Vernon) Hwy 97 / Harvey St., turn right on Abbott St. at the last lights before the floating bridge.

Dawn - dusk.

The trail is on paved surfaces and is suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers. It passes through residential areas and lakeshore parks.

START POINT: Keremeos Visitor Centre, 417 - 7TH Ave.  MAIL IN REGISTRATION

From west (Princeton), the start point will be on the right as you pass through town on Hwy #3 (7th Ave.). From east (Osoyoos), the start point will be on the left in mid-town.

Daily 07:00 - 20:00

The route is on the Vancouver, Victoria and Eastern rail bed going through orchards and returning through residential streets. Not suited to wheelchairs and strollers. From late spring to fall, walkers may be serenaded by thousands of turkeys on a farm.

From the south, enter Kimberley on Highway 95A (becomes Warren Ave.) Alpen Café and Guesthouse is on the right at the junction of Ritchie St.
From the north, enter Kimberley on Hwy. 95A, drive through town until the Overwaitea Store at the bottom of a steep hill. Alpen Café and Guesthouse is one block further on the left.

Mon: 07:00 - 14:00; Tue: Closed; Wed-Fri: 07:00 - 16:00; Sat-Sun: 09:00 - 16:00. Note Kimberley follows Mountain (not Pacific) Yime.

This scenic walk follows a wooded trail overlooking Mark Creek and the St. Mary’s River valley to arrive in Marysville, an early miners’ community. The walk resumes along the banks of  Mark Creek back to the start point. Along the way are excellent views and peaceful rest stops along the side of Mark Creek. Watch for small trout in the tributaries leading into Mark Creek.

Mon - Sat: 08:30 - 16:30; Closed on Sundays until further notice.

Route passes business area, Memorial Park, Fraser River and residential streets.

From the North turn right, exiting the TransCanada Highway onto Davis Road. Ricky’s Restaurant is located in the Coronation Mall. From the South turn left, exiting the TransCanada Highway onto Davis Road. Ricky’s Restaurant is located in the Coronation Mall.

Dawn to dusk.

The 6 km and one of the 10 km routes follow the waterfront and the  main streets of Ladysmith. The second 10 km follows park trails and up several hills to Holland Creek with a view of a waterfall. This walk has a small residential component.

Turn off TransCanada Hwy. onto Hwy. 18 to Lake Cowichan (about 0.5 hour drive from Duncan). Follow Lake Cowichan Rd. to Riverside Inn Pub.

Daily. 11:00 - 20:00.

Walk goes through some residential areas and downtown Lake Cowichan as well as along the lake. It is one of three Cowichan Valley walks (082, 136, and 196).

From the east: Hwy. 1 westbound, exit at 232nd Street.  Take Hwy. 10 (toward Vancouver Island ferries) becomes Glover Rd. going into Langley City.  Left at Langley By-Pass. From the west: Hwy. 10 which becomes Langley By-Pass.  Continue to Glover Rd.  The hotel is at the south-east corner of Glover Rd and Langley By Pass.. Walk box is at registration desk.

Dawn - dusk.

The walk follows a series of trails through parks - Rotary Nicomekl (exercise trails), Sendall Gardens (exotic plant greenhouse) and Langley City; along water courses, parkland and woods along the Nicomekl River, where you often see birsd and wildlife, and through residential areas. Trail subject to flooding in spring and winter.

Mayne Island is accessible, by ferry, from Tsawwassen on the mainland (~ 40 km south of Vancouver), and from Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island (~ 30 km north of Victoria.
Contact BC Ferries at www.bcferries.com for schedules.

Limited hours, but Re/MAX office is open when regular morning ferries arrive.

The route goes along winding and hilly country roads to Georgina Point Heritage Park and Lighthouse, with its views of Active Pass and Galiano Island.

Walks include local streets and a few trails. Great food at Start/Finish and on route.

The 10 km walk goes through Bowen Park and along Nanaimo’s harbour-front walkway. Another optional 10 km route is on city streets past historical buildings and the Old City Quarter. The 5 km route goes through downtown Nanaimo and along the harbour front.

The route goes under the Pearson Bridge, along the seawall, through Barsby Park, Bowen Park, and around Buttertubs Marsh. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

Perfect Cup, Country Club Centre, 3200 Island Highway

Follow the Old Island Highway (19A) to Country Club Shopping Centre bounded by Norwell Road and 107 Street. Perfect Cup is located in the food court inside the mall.

Mon - Sat: 09:30 - 17:00; Sun: 11:00 - 17:00.

The 5 km walk is on residential streets and along Long Lake. One 10 km walk is along the shores of Long Lake, around Diver Lake, and through neighbourhood parks. Another 10 km goes through the Linley Valley and around Lost Lake. One 12 km walk follows E & N Parkway Trails and  through Beban Park. Another 12 km option goes on residential streets and up Sugar Loaf Mountain while another option goes through Beach Estates Park with a waterfall..

REGISTER: From the North: follow the Old Island Highway to Comox Rd. Turn right onto Comox Rd. Turn right at Wallace St. to enter the hotel parking lot.
From the South turn left onto Comox Rd. Turn right at Wallace St. to enter the hotel parking lot. START POINT:  From the Hotel, turn right onto Comox Rd. which becomes Bowen Rd. Left at Wakesiah Ave. (lights). Right at Jingle Pot Rd. (lights). Cross Island Hwy (lights).  Left onto Westwood Rd. Follow Westwood Rd to the lake (4.9 km).

Dawn to dusk.

Not suitable for wheelchairs. The walk goes on trails in Westwood Lake Park and Morrell Nature Sanctuary.

Driving from Hwy. 1 east, take Exit 40A Brunette Ave., bear left onto Columbia St.,then  left on Begbie St. Cross tracks and follow around onto Quayside Dr. From Hwy. 1 west, take Exit 33 Kensington, left on Canada Way which becomes 8 St., Turn  left on Columbia St. Follow as above. Parking available at meters or on street.

Dawn to dusk.

The route includes historic New Westminster (former capital of BC), downtown, Queen’s Park and Westminster Quay, many heritage homes and fantastic views.
