From north (Penticton) on Hwy 97,turn right onto Main Street. Restaurant in on the right. From south (Oliver), Hwy 97 becomes Main Street. Restaurant is on your left.
Daily 07:00 - 21:00.
This is an out and back route with all but about 3km on the Kettle Valley Railbed along Skaha Lake shore.

REGISTER: Follow Hwy 97 from either the north [Kelowna, Penticton,] or south [Osoyoos] to 97 Street and the Cactus Tree Inn. START POINT: From the Registration Point, exit right ont Hwy 97, turn right at 350 Ave, left at 93 St and follow to the Tourist Information Centre.
Dawn to dusk.
The route is out and back on a paved trail along the Okanagan River.

Tinhorn Creek Winery, 32830 Tinhorn Creek Rd.
REGISTER: Follow Hwy 97 from either the north [Kelowna, Penticton,] or south [Osoyoos] to 97 St and Cactus Tree Inn. START POINT: From the Cactus Tree Inn, exit left on Hwy 97. Drive about 4.5 km, right at Tinhorn Creek Winery sign (Road #&), over the irrigation canal and straight ont Tinhorn Creek Rd. The winery is about 1 km from the highway.
Dawn to dusk.
The route goes through the vinyards and along the ‘Golden Mile’ with good views of the fields and lake.

Travel into Peachland on Hwy. 97 to the (only) lights. From the South turn right at Princeton Avenue (lights)to Beach Ave. From the North turn left at Princeton Ave. (lights). Turn left on Beach Avenue. The Rocky Top Coffee Company is on the corner of 1st Street and Beach Avenue.
Mon - Fri: 07:00 - 17:00; Sat: 08:00 - 16:00; Sun: 10:00 - 16:00.
Trail is very easy walking on pavement along the lake shore and is suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers.

Penticton Community Centre, 325 Power Street
On Hwy. 97 entering from the North, left at the light on Railway Ave. and left into the Community Centre. From the South, follow Hwy. 97 and continue through the lights at Eckhardt Ave. to the Community Centre [on the left].
Mon - Fri: 07:00 - 22:00; Sat & Sun: 08:30 - 20:00 Closed statutory holidays. The hours for part of August and September are reduced each year. During this time the Centre is open Mon-Fri: 07:00 - 18:00. Closed on Sat & Sun. Phone Centre to check hours: 250-490-2426.
One 10-km route is on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, along the lake shore and some residential streets. A second 10-km option goes along the Penticton River channel, on streets and the lakeshore. The 5-km route goes along the lake shore and dike along the Penticton River channel.

Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum, 850 River Road
From Hwy. 97N, take right exit ramp for North Nechako Rd. Right on North Nechako Rd. Go through underpass and continue. Right to City Centre over Cameron St. Bridge, then right at Museum sign onto River Road to the Railway and Forestry Museum. From Hwy 16W, right onto Ferry (Superstore on left) which becomes Queensway. Follow Queensway to 1st Ave., turn right onto 1st, then left onto River Road to Museum. From Hwy. 97S, cross the Fraser River on Simon Fraser Bridge. Directly after the bridge, take right exit ramp for City Centre via Queensway, left onto Queensway to 1st Ave. Right onto 1st, left onto River Road and Museum. From Hwy 16E, cross Fraser River on Yellowhead Bridge. Near end of bridge, take right onto 1st, left onto River Road and to Museum.
Museum is open: May - October 10:00 - 17:30. Always check with contact to confirm times and availability of the walk box. Copy of directions is available electronically by contacting etheh@shaw.ca.
The walk follows the Heritage River Trail through parks along the Fraser and Nechako Rivers with some residential walking.

The route is an out and back route on the Kettle Valley Railway Trail/ Trans Canada Trail with views of the Similkameen River. the 11 km route is an the Kettle Valley Rail Trail / Trans Canada trail and goes through the Swan Lake Bird Sanctuary and the grounds of the Priceton Castle Resort.
