Please note: Before travelling any significant distance to do one of these Year Round and Seasonal walks, walkers should always contact the 'Contact Person' or club shown with each walk. If either of these are unavailable, please contact the appropriate Regional Director or the CVF office at cvffcv@bellnet.ca The CVF makes every effort to keep this information up to date, but changes do occur from time to time that may inconvenience walkers who travel.

From the West on the Trans Canada Hwy., left on 4th St. NE. From the East on the Trans Canada Hwy, right on 4th St NE, right on Lakeshore Dr. NE and then immediately turn left on Marine Park Dr.  Body Works is on the left.

Mon - Fri: 05:30 - dusk; Sat: 09:00 - 18:00; Sun: Noon - 18:00.

The trail is along the shoreline which is the nesting place of the Western Grebe.

Daily: dawn to dusk.

Walk goes through the town of Sidney, along the waterfront and on walking trails. An alternate ‘rural’ route goes towards Tsehum Harbour..

From Victoria,Trans Canada Hwy 1 to Sooke / Colwood turnoff.  Follow Hwy 14 to Sooke. Right at "Lighthouse" on Phillips Rd, just past the big silver bridge.  By Bus: take #61 to Sooke or Bus #50 to Western Exchange and then #61 to Sooke.

Daily: 09:00 - 17:00. Nov - Mar: closed Mondays. Closed major holidays.

Walks include local streets, country roads, and the Galloping Goose Trail.

Esquires is at the northeast corner of Crescent Rd. and 128 St. Walk box is under service counter near corridor. From Hwy  99. Exit 10 - Hwy 99A - King George Blvd. south. Turn west on Crescent Rd.

Mon - Fri: 06:00 - dusk; Sat & Sun: 07:00 - dusk.

There are two 5 km routes - one park and one beach. The 10 / 11 km route goes through Crescent Park, residential streets and to the beach, along the promenade to Blackie’s Spit and Heron Park. Not suitable for wheelchairs or baby strollers.

From Hwy 1, Exit 50 - 104 Ave / 160 St. Follow 160 St. south to Fraser Hwy (Hwy 1A).

From Hwy 10 west, turn left (north) on 152 St. to Fraser Hwy (Hwy 1A), turn right (east) on Fraser Hwy to 160 St.

From Hwy 10 east, turn right (east) at Fraser Hwy (Hwy 1A) to 160 St.

From 176 St. (Hwy 15 - Truck Crossing at Blaine), turn left (west) at Fraser Hwy (Hwy 1A) to 160 St.

Mon - Fri: 05:45 - dusk; Sat: 07:00 - dusk; Sun & holidays: 07:30 - dusk.

There are two routes: Tynehead Route follows residential streets to the Tynehead Regional Park on the Serpentine River, a unique salmon spawning river with salmon hatchery, with bark mulch trails and a few hills. Fleetwood Route follows residential streets to Fleetwood Park and Surrey Lake which have gravel trails.. Not suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers.

From the east - Hwy 1, Exit 53 (176 St) south to 96 Ave, west to 128 St. From the west - Hwy 1, Exit 40A Brunette Ave, becomes Columbia St; over Pattullo Bridge, (Hwy 99A) which becomes King George Blvd; south to 96 Ave., west to 128 St. From Tsawassen Ferry - Hwy 17, Hwy 10, east to 128 St., north to 96 Ave.

Daily: 08:00 - dusk.

Two routes: Bear Creek Route (11 km) goes through residential areas and parkland. Enjoy Bear Creek Park with its creeks, rose gardens and miniature train. City Centre Route: (10km) passes through residential areas, parkland, SFU and cenotaph at Whalley Legion.

The first 5 km route follows a trail to Chesterman Beach and continues on the beach. The Lennard Island Lighthouse can be seen. The Tofino Heritage walk passes historical buildings and sites in the town of Tofino. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

Both routes go on the Wild Pacific Trail on the shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. The trail offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

Great views of Vancouver harbour and downtown, North Shore mountains and English Bay. Main 10-km seawall route (rating 1A) around the park is safe for walkers on their own and is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. Optional 10-km seawall route goes on some fairly secluded trails in park around the park ((rating 2B).

Tilley Endurables is at the southwest corner of 8 Ave and Granville St. Walk box is under cash counter. Hwy 99 into Vancouver which becomes Granville St.  On-street meter parking in area.

Daily 10:00 - 17:30; Closed statutory holidays.

The walk goes to Granville Island and False Creek for a pleasant walk along the shores of this restored area. A ferry boat takes you back to Granville Island Market (charge for the ferry).  A 5 km extension to Stanley Park is available. Not suitable for baby strollers and wheelchairs. An alternative route (11 km) is available all around False Creek, across Burrard St Bridge - no ferry.

Only the 5-km Point Grey route is suitable for  wheelchairs or baby strollers.
