Please note: Before travelling any significant distance to do one of these Year Round and Seasonal walks, walkers should always contact the 'Contact Person' or club shown with each walk. If either of these are unavailable, please contact the appropriate Regional Director or the CVF office at cvffcv@bellnet.ca The CVF makes every effort to keep this information up to date, but changes do occur from time to time that may inconvenience walkers who travel.

Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel, 659 Queen St. 506-451-1803

From Trans-Canada Highway, take Fredericton exit, then Regent St. North exit.  Go to bottom of hill to King St. Turn right, then left on St. John St. Hotel is straight ahead on Queen.

08:00 - 19:00  Ask for Volksmarch box / self-registration kit at front desk.

There are several route choices. One walk goes through Victorian section of city, through the Fredericton campus of theUniversity of New Brunswick (UNB) and utilizes portions of the trail system through Odell Park and the waterfront. One significant hill. There are other flatter routes using alternate trails.

Take Exit 170 from the TransCanada Highway into Hartland. 

M-F 10:00 to 17:00. Closed Sat and Sun.

The trail takes you through town, out on the TransCanada & Rail Trail along the St. John River and through the Longest Covered Wooden Bridge in the world.

From the east take exit 474 to Moncton City Centre - Champlain Street becomes Main Street.  The Crowne Plaza is on your right.

From the west take exit 450 - Mountain Road to King Street - King Street to Main - right on Main Street.

Daylight Hours

This walk takes you through the streets of downtown Moncton.  Through the Tidal Bore Park and around Jones Lake. Two alternate routes available following through downtown and along the TransCanada Trail.

Circle K Irving, 783 Fairville Blvd.

Walk box is located at The Circle K Irving, open 24/7.

From NB Hwy. 1 take Exit 119 (Catherwood Drive). Proceed to the intersection of Catherwood and Fairville Blvd. Turn Left onto Fairville Blvd. The Irving is located on the left just past the Burger King.

The Nature Park,  just 5 minutes from the city centre, features the world’s highest tides, a rare Acadian forest, beaches, salt water marsh, varied well groomed trails, sea birds and mammals as well as excellent look-outs.

Currently there is construction on the Harbour Bridge. Consult local maps and be prepared for changes and delays. Cruise Ship Info:

FROM LONG WHARF follow the Harbour Passage trail bearing right as you exit the wharf. Follow the trail / board walk with the water on your right, Hilton on left to arrive at Market Square and the Atrium.

FROM SAINT JOHN CRUISE TERMINAL: When exiting the Pugsley Terminal / Park turn left on Water St. and proceed about 500 m to Market Square and proceed to the Atrium.

CLOSED SUNDAYS, other times call ahead.

The world’s highest tides create a unique phenomenon reversing the flow of the St. John River over an impressive set of rapids, twice a day.

Trinity Royal route includes many national historic / heritage and green areas including Victorian homes and businesses.

The Harbour Passage route is an award winning waterfront walk of a working port. Many amenities in this route. Digby Wharf Light and the Partridge Island Light are visible from this walk.
