From the 417 exit at Moodie Drive. Drive south on Moodie. Where Richmond Rd. veers right from Moodie follow Richmond Rd. to the village of Richmond. In Richmond, Richmond Rd. becomes Perth Street. Mac’s is located at the SW corner of the intersection of Perth and McBean Sts.

Could be walked with a stroller.

From Highway 401 or 7, take Hwy. 15 to Smiths Falls. The Best Western Col. By Inn is on Hwy. 15 in the south end of the city at 88 Lombard St. [Lombard St. is the same as Hwy. 15 within the town limits].

Daily 07:00 - 20:00

The 11 km is  a segmented walk. This walk will take you through both newer and more historic sections of the town where many streets are completely shaded by hundred year old trees. The 10 km walk is along parts of the Rideau Canal, and several museums relating to the Rideau Canal and the railway.

From Toronto and East: North on Highway 400 to Highway 9.Follow Highway 9 west to Orangeville. Then take Highway 10 North to Rockford. At Rockford take the Owen Sound By-pass to Springmount (Country Road 18). At Springmount take Highway 21 South  into Southampton. Turn Right at High Street (the main street of Southampton at the traffic lights). Mid Summers Cafe is on your left in the first block. Parking is on the main street. From the South:  Take Highway 4 North from London to Clinton. At Clinton take Highway 8 West to Goderich. At Goderich take Highway 21 North into Southampton. Turn left (West) at High Street at the traffic lights. Mid Summers Cafe is on your left in the first block. Parking is on the main street..

Hours of operation in Winter - 08:00 - 05:00  PM (closed Sunday); Summer hours - beginning May 24th weekend is 08:00 - 11:00 PM, 7 days a week.

Sunset Trail -- Route should be treated as a fine wine, best tasted late in the day when the sun is setting over the lake.

The two 5 km. trails are mostly on paved roads with a short distance on a level gravel path [railway bed]; the East 10 km. is on paved and gravel roads with moderate hills; the West 10 km. is on paved road for 4.5 km, then 5.5 km. on gravel railway bed.

From Highway 401, take Exit 232 at Woodstock and follow Hwy. 59 North to Hwy. 102 and then west on Hwy. 6. [b] From Hwy 401, exit North at Kitchener to Hwy. 8 and then west on Hwy. 6 to Stratford.  Romeo St. will be on your right as you approach the downtown area of the city. Turn right at the lights and proceed to the River Garden Inn which you will find on your left, just across from the golf course on your right.

07:00- 18:00 daily.

This 10 km route is a heritage walk through the city and neighbourhoods and features many historically interesting homes plus the city’s many beautiful parks and gardens. Stratford is alive with activity year round, especially during the festival season [April - October].

Dawn to dusk any day.

A pleasant walk through Science North and along Lake Ramsay. A visit to the Lourdes Grotto [significant hill climb, but optional route available], then trails along Junction Creek through the city.

From the East remain on Hwy 17, which becomes Kingsway. Turn Right onto Barrydown. Tim’s is across from Costco, at Westmount. From the West or South: Enter Sudbury on Hwy 17 / 69 and continue on the SW Bypass to ther junction with Kingsway. Follow Kingsway west to Barrydown. Turn Right onto Barrydown. Tim Hortons in across from Costco, at Westmount.

09:30-18:30  Please do not ask for walk box during the morning ‘rush hour’.

A walk on streets of ‘new’ Sudbury and a visit to the mall.

From the South or West: Queen Elizabeth Way becomes the Gardiner Expressway. Exit at York St. North.
From the North or East: From the 401 take the Don Valley Parkway to the Gardiner Expressway. Exit at York St. North.
By train or subway go to Union Station: left on Front Street a few steps, turn right onto York St. The hotel is only a few steps from the corner.

07:30 to dusk.

This walk will take you through many of the tourist areas in downtown Toronto. The walk goes past Queen’s Park, the University of Toronto, Skydome, the Air Canada Centre and the shores of Lake Ontario.

The trails are  level, mainly on paved roads and side walks.
NOTE: If you wish to do the 5 km route register at the gym and drive to the south end of the Price Chopper parking lot, Dundas East and Ontario Sts.
