The text you see on the screen is not the same type of text that you produce directly in a Word document, it is a computer language called ‘hypertext markup language’, a computer code. This is indicated by the ‘.html’ you see at the end of the web URL on all these pages in your Internet browser. In order to print what you see, or want to select, you need to:

1. 1. Drag-click your mouse cursor over the text in question to highlight the text you wish to print [selected text will be highlighted in blue];
   

2. 2. Use the Edit > Copy menu bar function in your Internet browser to copy the selected text to your computer’s memory;
   

3. 3. Open a new Word document, or a blank page in some other word processing application;
   

4. 4. Use Word’s Edit > Paste menu bar function to drop the selected text into a word processing document;
   

5. 5. Repeat steps above for as many separate text selections as you may wish;
   

6. 6. Then use the File > Print function of your word processor to print the text[s] you have chosen. You may also use the File > Save menu bar command in your word processor to save the selected texts to your hard drive.
