CVF Funding & Development Initiatives

2011

Initiatives:

  1. 1.National sponsorships: proposals have been sent to several large national institutions.

  2. 2.Membership Blitz: a challenge from the President and Board of Directors to clubs to increase their membership. Details:  President’s Membership Memo, and Recruitment Blitz - 2009.

  3. 3.Voluntary donations to the CVF: An invitation and strategy for individuals to make individual donations to the CVF. Details: President’s Donation Memo, and Friends of Volkssport Document.

  4. 4.A different way to fund events: direct assistance by Graham Fawcett, CVF Past President and Webmaster, to individuals or small groups to help their club sponsor an event. A copy of his article in the January 09 issue of Volksport Canada [p. 14] is attached. Creation of a sample publicity brochure and web page are offered to any individual or group of individuals willing to participate in the challenge. Examples: Oktoberfest Brochure, and Oktoberfest Walk sample web page.

  5. 5.CVF Website: this new website represents a completely new design with many more facilities, resources and available documents than before. All suggestions for improvement and enhancement are welcome.

  6. 6.CVF club web pages: each CVF club that does not have its own web page will be offered a pre-designed page on the CVF website. With a minimum investment of resources and time to create the page, all clubs can have an effective presence on the Internet. A sample is shown here: Temiskaming Wanderers.

  7. 7.Source texts for Year Round and Scheduled Events: text files, in Word format, are now available on this site for clubs to use and edit for their own publicity and information purposes. Individuals may also download them to construct their own itineraries as they travel locally, regionally or nationally. Link to the Source Texts from the Resources Page here.
