This scenic walk follows a wooded trail overlooking Mark Creek & the St. Mary's River Valley to arrive in Marysville: an early miner's community. The walk resumes along the banks of Mark Creek back to the start point. Along the way are excellent views & peaceful rest stops. Watch for small trout in the tributaries leading into Mark Creek. DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From the North, on the Trans Canada Hwy, Right at the first traffic light in Ladysmith (First Ave/Ludlow Rd). From the South, on the Trans Canada Hwy, left at the 3rd traffic light in Ladysmith (First Ave/Ludlow Rd.). From both directions, follow past Tim Horton’s, turn right at the roundabout and continue up the hill. Continue through the 4-way stop to Stillin Dr. Right on Stillin Dr to 1141 (7 houses down the block on the right)
WALK INFORMATION: Dawn to dusk. Box is located near the front door of a private residence at 1141 Stillin Dr. After registering, drive to the Coronation Mall in the south end of Ladysmith to start the walk. The 6 km & one 10 km option is along the waterfront & through the main street of Ladysmith. The second 10 km option (3B) is on trails .along Holland creek with a view of a waterfall & a small residential component. Washrooms are available at Mall. Town route is on TCT.

Continue to Glover Rd.
WALK INFORMATION: Daily: dawn to dusk Walk Box is at Registration Counter. There are two routes. The Langley Parks walk follows residential streets & trails through parks - Rotary Nicomekl (exercise trails), Sendall Gardens (exotic plant greenhouse) & Langley City; along water courses beside the Nicomekl River, where you often see birds & wildlife. Subject to flooding in spring & winter. There is an alternative 10k "Flood" walk available. Washrooms at start point and Sendall Gardens. There are also two 5k routes available.

Around the Legislative Buildings (tours & Gift Shop available), through Beacon Hill Park & its beautiful gardens. Enjoy the view of the Olympic Mountains walking along Dallas Road. Enjoy the gardens at Government House & the magnificent masonry of Craigdarroch Castle. Route 2: Walk around a tree in the middle of a road, past mansions in Rockland, Craigdarroch Castle & Government House with its magnificent gardens. Walk through Fairfield residential area & up a short trail to Moss Rock Pk for a wonderful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca & the Olympic Mountains. Continue through Fairfield to Dallas Rd. (On Left is historic Ross Bay Cemetery, well worth visiting). Return through some tiny streets in James Bay & Beacon Hill Park. 5k routes are mini versions of 10k’s, except 5k Route B goes though quirky Fernwood. Washrooms at start & on route. Colquitz Creek - 10k includes a scenic walk on chip trails along Colquitz Creek & residential streets of Broadmead. One 5k route goes around Rithet's Bog (bird sanctuary) & residential streets. The second 5k route goes through the Broadmead residential area.

From Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal & Victoria International Airport: drive south on Patricia Bay Hwy (Hwy 17); Left on Finlayson St & Left on Cedar Hill Rd. Cedar Hill Recreation Centre is on your Left. Free parking. Bus #24 (Cedar Hill) from Johnson St, downtown.
WALK INFORMATION: Call to confirm hours: 250-475-7121. Ask for Walk Box at Reception. Route 1: This route goes around the trail beside Cedar Hill Golf Course, through Playfair Pk (wonderful rhododendrons in spring) & along the trails in Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary. (Pets are not allowed in the Sanctuary – separate route provided). Route 2: Explore residential streets & parks between Hillside Mall & Uptown Mall & a section of the Trans Canada Trail. Washrooms at Start & on route. Not suitable for baby strollers or wheelchairs. Pets must be on leash & scoop law is in effect.

DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From downtown Vancouver (West Georgia St): take the Blue Bus #250 (~40 mins); OR by car - drive over Lions Gate Bridge & along Marine Dr through West Vancouver to the Community Centre (~20 km). From BC Ferry terminal: Pedestrians - walk Left on Keith Rd; continue along the gravel path & stairs to Marine Dr; cross at crosswalk & Left to Community Centre (1.5k) OR take the #250 bus.  By car - drive on Hwy 1; take Exit 0 - Marine Dr; turn Left on Marine Dr to Community Centre.
WALK INFORMATION: Mon - Fri: 08:30-19:00; Sat: 08:30-18:00; Sun: 08:30-16:00; Holidays: Closed. Ask staff for Walk Box (on side shelf). Part of the route is on the Trans Canada Trail with great water views south & west. The rest of the route is through residential areas & the village of Horseshoe Bay. DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: By car: Cross Lions Gate Bridge to West Vancouver. From Marine Dr turn Left on 15th St for one block. Park on Argyle Ave, one block closer to water.
By transit: From Granville SkyTrain Station, walk south to West Georgia St. Take bus #250 (Horseshoe Bay). On Marine Dr get off at 15th St & walk one block towards the water.
WALK INFORMATION: Daily: 08:00-18:00. Ask staff for Walk Box (in back). Western 5K loop goes through "village" of Dundarave & along Centennial Seawalk, while Eastern 5K loop goes through "villages" of Ambleside & Park Royal & along edge of Ambleside Park. Both loops have interesting shops & eateries, & offer great views of English Bay & Vancouver. Not suitable for wheelchairs or baby strollers. Washrooms available at Start/Finish & along routes.

About 2k of this walk are in Lighthouse Park, including a viewpoint overlooking Point Atkinson Lighthouse. The rest of the route is on winding, hilly roads & paths through a wealthy residential neighbourhood with some great views of Burrard Inlet. Not suitable for wheelchairs or baby strollers. Park may be closed during times of extreme fire hazard.
