WALK DESCRIPTION: Elgin Heritage Park is on the banks of the Nicomekl River.  Between the two entrances to the park there are many large trees often used by eagles & hawks to survey the area for prey.  Historic Stewart Farm is located in the Park.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From King George Blvd (Hwy #99A) take Crescent Rd to the second entrance to the Park.

WALK DESCRIPTION: The 6k (1B) goes around Buttertubs Marsh & follows the The Great Trail/Parkway Trail & local streets. The 10 & 12k (2B) continue on through to Colliery Dam Park & Vancouver Island University.  The 12k also goes around the Yew Loop Trail in Morrell Sanctuary. The walks are on a combination of paved paths & well groomed dirt trails.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: Take Hwy #19 (Nanaimo Parkway) to Jinglepot Rd. Going north, turn Right onto Jinglepot Rd; Going south turn Left onto Jinglepot Rd. Where Jinglepot Rd veers left, keep Right onto Third St. Entrance to the NAC (Nanaimo Aquatic Centre) is on the Right just past the gravel parking lot for Serauxmen Stadium & before the light @ Wakesiah Ave. Parking is available in front & on the other side of the Aquatic Centre or across the street at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

WALK DESCRIPTION: The walk follows part of the Great Trail  (TCT) near the Pitt Meadows Airport as well as Urban Trails in the neighbourhood.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From Hwy #1 take exit #58 (200 St North); Right on 201 St & merge onto Golden Ears Way; take exit #113B Ave toward Airport Way; take Airport Way to Bonson Rd; @ the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit onto 113B Ave East; @ 3rd roundabout continue straight onto Airport Way; @ roundabout take the 1st exit onto Bonson Rd.
